This piece is very unique to me. To start the colors give a calm vibe that match the over feel of simplicity. The face appears to give a sense of relaxation and relief. That being said, the fact that the body is represented by the fading and dripping cool splatters, leads me to feel as if an epiphany is happening as life is coming to soft close. I have never felt dying but from a optimistic stance I would say this shows a beautiful closure. The many years of life play back in the mind as the feeling of fading and surrender enter the body that has naturally withered over the years. The colors drip the emotions of a lived life while the bigger splotches portray clarity and readiness for physical departure. I can see at the end the eyes closes as the colors drip and fade into the white light. I really like this piece here and hope that you continue good work like this. You've gained a favorite and a fan! Always strive for growth!
