Breaking Through

The use of contrasting colours in this is brilliant, as well as the mix between sharp detail and blurred edges. I particularly like how through the shards of glass the colours of the subject appear paler, however the only problem with this is that were you have two shards overlapping the colour caught by both of them isn't paler still. I also find it faintly bizarre that the top of the head is missing, although no line there at all is preferable, I think, to a rough outline. The way that the left eye is caught through the blue is also really good, although the colour of the iris is a bit lighter than it perhaps could be.

A very good piece of work that is rather wonderfully abstract, whilst still retaining a fair amount of 'reality'. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/>
