I've tried using tea for painting like this, but couldn't get it to be very dark - I'm curious, what kind of tea were you using? It certainly achieves a beautiful effect!

I use lots of teas but it's the layering that gives the depth.

Okay, I probably just didn't have enough layering happening - I was mostly just experimenting with various organic products that could be used as watercolors. Thanks for the tip :)

I have stopped doing it so much as it interrupts the flow of the work, sometimes to the detriment of the piece
