"Hauntingly beautiful" is the best way to describe this, and your other work, but even that terminology does not tell the whole story. "Eleven" seems to be pushed through a smokey, antique lens, a capture of an image that we were not meant to see. I enjoy how the plants, flowers, foliage all seem to be as much the subject of each painting... and really like the playfulness of your occasional "drop outs" so that color or shade does not touch one another (even some stray rays of light seem to "cut" through!). As with some of your other work, I assume this is also graphite, inks, and teas -- wonderful that we can still discern your pencil sketches through the delicate stains and inks! Beautiful. Hauntingly so.
