From the Forest - WIP, includes video link

Carne, I’ve been waiting for an insight into what is, as far as I know, a pretty unique process. This and most of your work I’ve seen is evocative and exciting – it has great movement and exuberance in its execution but great stillness and calm reflection in the core subject. The naturalistic elements of the work balance extremely well with the human form both visually and, if it isn’t too grand an idea, metaphysically. The connection in many of your pieces of human and the broader natural world is a key strength in my opinion and I really enjoy the blurring of the line between the two in the execution of the work. The apparent randomness of the colouring supports the more structured linework to create a wonderfully natural, chaotic yet ordered whole. I love seeing new work from you, so please, keep creating.
