this is an amazing piece of modern art with a slant as to what art was traditionally.
the use of colors compliment the piece like a treat... the inks and watercolors make a very Victorian feeling to the piece.
In respects to impact this piece draws the eyes off the and brings them off the page. the yes are the window to the soul and this piece is seeing right into my soul.
the small line work really make the piece what it is. those small lines create a amazing texture.
Amazing work. would hang this in my house or gallery any day.
In comparison to other drawins of the similar nature, they were not anything of special merit. Not in a negative sort, or a put down to the atists. More in a expert sense. This image is a evolution from the others he has done, it shows the leap of one image to another, as a stepping stone which lands us here to this asian girl. Depited in such ellegance and style, and energy of line. A steady hand to move the lines, the power of mind to make ones hand obey they vision in the skull. This is not an easy task, many artists use software o create such lines, forms, e.t.c. To me that is not skill....yet what I see on this piece of paper (not software) is skill and talent, gained threw hard work. There is something in art like this, which is line art when you come to it, which makes your eyes fix upon the image. I can not fault this image, nor would I want to. This is a loose style but tight in line work. If it looks easy, then you do not know anything about art. To make chaos look gorgeous is....not a task for people without vision. Well done mr....!
I've seen a lot of great drawings on dA but rarely do they have so much depth and dynamic in their marks, and such grace in their use of colour. I absolutely love the leaf-like shapes on her neck too. Fantastic image.
