This piece is absolutely exquisite! I love everything about it. But, what jumped out at me first when I saw this image was your use of the materials. It looks as if you are using mainly watercolor (and possibly some india ink) on top of a pen sketched base that leans more towards the abstract rather than a render sketch. (which further enhances the idea of our need to be closer to nature as you stated is the meaning of this piece because the pen seems to represent us, humans and our environment, then washed in color is the beauty of nature trying to take back it's place in the world.) What catches the viewers eye first is that the drips you let flow onto the paper and off of the paper appear uncontrolled. As if everything that came out of the brush as an accident that flowed onto the paper, but in reality every part of it is layered and placed ever so carefully to get the image you desired.
