Undergrowth by Carnegriff Undergrowth by Carnegriff
Back in the studio and after studying the variety of plant forms in greece I undertook this drawing of imaginary undergrowth - like a daydream on paper - this was quite a therapeutic and exploratory piece exploring lines of movement and force outside of the plant shapes.

Drawn in fountain pen ink with washes of tea, gouache highlights on bockingford watercolour paper 75x56cm

This is Suberb. On my drawing classes, I have a work that consists in drawing nature, but explore the chaos and find a way to control it and put it into paper, and this is just it. This is the most awesome nature based drawing i've ever seen. congratulations!

Another flower picture! And it's so gorgeous again! I don't know why especially your flower-drawings grabbing my attention so much. I think it's because of the warm colours and the wonderful details. *sighs* Now I have the intention to lay down on a flower-meadow and enjoy the warm sun.
Should you ever have twelve flower-paintings together I want a calendar out of these! =3
Please keep up the great work and take care!

This is actually gorgeous. I'd write a critique, but I'm not a premium member (damn you, restrictions!) I love how you made it messy, while at the same time you put in so much freaking detail! I just would not have the patience for it. ;)

This would be SO cool as a sketchbook cover. You should make a print of this, mail it to me, and I'll make a sketchbook out of this this & send it back. Huzzah for random inspiration

But anyways, this is pretty good. The reds aren't over imposing and though it's cluttered, it's done in a nice way. My favorite is all the big spots everywhere. The indigo and the yellow ones on top in particular~
