The artist's use of abstract blue and brown strokes, while abstract when considered individually, form a realistic portrait together. Around her face, the brown and blue effects create a likeness of hair that is remarkable considering the variety of textures used.
The colors of this piece must also be considered. To me, the use of brown and light blue, while certainly not a popular palette, create an interesting blend of earthy and energetic. The energetic brown is matched by the look of the subject, and the energetic blue is represented by the complexity and excitement of brush strokes.

Overall this is an amazing piece that accomplishes things I did not know to be possible. Its style is flawless, and the effect produced is mesmerizing. I am more of a representational artist myself, but the form created in this piece satisfies me fully. Truly a beautiful work.
