Vision Originality Technique ImpactThe most striking aspect of this is the spatial perspective of the objects within the work. I interpret this as either a top-down view or a frontal-vertical (upright) view -- and it is the implications of the latter that offer this work a dose of terror -- a great floating skull! held up by plants, a nether-being! or plants gravitate to it! A spectacle of a state infinitely darting back and forth across the fragile veil between life and death, exposed by new rules of spiritual dynamism made flesh.
My ratings are based on an imaginary world where Alex Grey and Michelangelo would get 5 stars in every category.
