I am drawn to this portrait because of the odd angle of the girl and her gaze. The composition is sound, with a diagonal line moving the eye through the artwork. I love the sparse use of color in general, and how the piece uses complimentary colors well without being tacky. I understand this is a work in progress, the colors are starting to come alive though I do wonder how the title connects to the subject or helps the viewer explore the piece if there is much more color to be added.

Style aside this drawing is technically sound, there are no mistakes in proportion and the flowers are lovely.

Overall I would say this piece if coming along nicely, however it just does not grab me and pull me in like some of the other work I've seen from this artist.
