attack it! be brutal - really, try not to be precious about what you create, don't try and make the best piece of art ever, just enjoy! That's the best advice I can give. You have plenty of time to develop a style but first you need to experiment.

recently from poetry and explorative drawing, sometimes the idea builds on the page as I'm working, that's what happened with the vine - I knw there were elements that I wanted to combine but I allowed them to happen on the page... I do not work well with a planned out drawing . it deadens the part of my work which allows me to go on a journey with each piece. Hope that helps but it's a very personal thing ... another artist may tell you exactly the opposite works for them. take time to find your own way of working.
